Torre Urquinaona viewpoint
In the center of the city and very close to Plaça Catalunya is Torre Urquinaona. The building, which is named after the square where it is located, is the work of architect Antoni Bonet and was built between 1968 and 1970. During this period, various skyscrapers were designed in the city, including this tower, which stands out for its octagonal shape and dark tones that make up the aesthetics of the structure.
This space that houses a business and events center with meeting rooms and offices, and with a total of 22 floors, is one of the tallest buildings in the Eixample district. Thanks to its location in the heart of Barcelona and its height, the Unlimited Barcelona observation deck has been installed on the 20th floor. This 500-meter square urban viewpoint, open to the public, offers different kind of 360º panoramic view of the city. The center offers visitors the opportunity to contemplate different parts of the city through each of the large windows located all around this floor.
From this viewpoint you can see, both day and night, the Mediterranean Sea, the imposing mountains of Montjuïc and Tibidabo, the route of La Rambla, and discover the elements that make up 22@, the innovation district.
