  Manifesta 15 Europe's Nomadic Biennial

  As its name suggests, the European Nomadic Biennial Manifesta 15 takes place every two years, and the city chosen for its 15th edition is Barcelona. All kinds of activities designed to rethink the relationship between culture and civil society will be held in Barcelona over nearly three months. Through innovative dynamics and public debates, the event will reflect on issues such as the challenges of globalization, the democratization of public life, the defense of public space against privatization, the need to balance social progress with environmental challenges, housing fragility, movements of people, capital and data, and economic and ecological crises.

  For this edition in Barcelona, spaces such as Les Tres Xemeneies and Casa Gomis will be open to the general public. The event will revolve around 3 thematic clusters: Balancing conflicts, Caring and taking care of ourselves and Imagining futures.

  Water an unfiltered exhibition Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona

  Did you know that for more than 2 billion people, something as commonplace as turning on the tap and having water is a pipe dream? The exhibition of the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona (Museum of Natural Sciences) Water, an unfiltered exhibition, focuses on this issue to raise awareness of the need to guarantee the right to clean and safe drinking water for everyone. Through a positive and approachable tone, suitable for all audiences, the exhibition explores how science, technology, knowledge and creativity can effectively address this problem and calls for individual and collective action and commitment.

  Pure Gold Upcycled Upgraded Museu del Disseny DHUB

  Upcycling has long ceased to be a fad and has become a statement of intent. The exhibition Pure Gold. Upcycled! Upgraded!, organized by ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) in conjunction with the Goethe-Institut and with the support of Disseny Hub (the Design Museum of Barcelona), explores the reuse of waste and its transformation into design objects through artistic processes. The exhibition features a selection of pieces curated by the exhibition commissioner Voker Albus and works from the collections of the Design Museum of Barcelona, along with contributions from around the world. It reflects how upcycling adds value when creating new objects.  The exhibition is complemented by a virtual platform and local workshops, emphasizing the project's cornerstones: ethics, responsibility, internationalization and co-creation.
