    The Palau de la Música Catalana is without doubt one of the culminating works of the arquitect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. In 2023 to commemorate the centenary of his death, various events will be held and will revolve around three themes: Polycentric Domènech, Domènech the Architect and Domènech, Europe and beyond. Under this European gaze, the Palau is programming an exhibition that covers all the details of its conception and construction in a new and revealing light, since it places special emphasis on the creative foundation of Domènech i Montaner. The exhibition covers how the architect brought together all the arts typical of the modernist era (sculpture, mosaics and stained glass) and also reflects how he was inspired by large international concert halls.

    The only modernist building that has conserved absolutely all the plans, including those that were not intended to be kept, are those of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. On the occasion of the centenary of the death of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the venue has organized an interesting exhibition of the building plans displayed in the very spaces that they represent so that you can view them in situ. The display is made up of a variety of types of documents, from plans and sketches to decorative details, diagrams, structural details, elevations and so on.
