  Portraits of Ships From the XIX Century to the shipspotters

  Ships have been the object of portraiture since ancient times. This exhibition covers some of these works chronologically to show their evolution and also how social changes have modified them. It begins with a brief introduction to the background of the 18th century and then continues with a chronological tour that shows how both the way of representing them and the techniques used have changed.

  The Digital Arts Center, IDEAL, the space in Barcelona for immersive experiences, delves into the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt with this new exhibition centred on Tutankhamun, the Child Pharaoh. Thanks to the technology of its immersive, interactive and virtual reality rooms, we will learn about the history of a civilization full of enigmas over an area of more than 2,000 m2 that includes a new metaverse space.

  100 years of the UAT D’HORTA Horta football team

  To honour and recognize Barcelona's many centenary clubs, the Barcelona Olympic Foundation organizes regular exhibitions about the history of a particular club. Now it is the turn of the Unió Atlètica d'Horta, a historic football club founded in 1922 that features in this exhibition located in the temporary exhibition hall of the Museu Olímpic i de l'Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch in Barcelona. Through photographs and other documents, this is an overview of the centenary club, a good example of promoting sport in the social setting.

  America’s Cup Experience

  The prestigious America's Cup competition that will take place in Barcelona in 2024 warms up with the America's Cup Experience, the first Official Exhibition Center of the 37th America's Cup Barcelona 2024. It is a unique opportunity to learn about this important event in an exhibition where visitors can discover the history of the mythical sailing regatta and learn all about its rules, equipment and the secrets of its technology that makes the boats practically fly over the water. The experience has an open area that the public can access for free and there are two more spaces that you can make a reservation for: the immersive experience and the AC75 Simulator.

Across this wide range of topics there are people who are creating change and Fixing The Future is a chance to get to know them and join discussions in round tables, workshops and other activities.

  Daniel Steegmann Mangrané A Leaf Shapes the Eye MACBA

  Social and ecological urgencies are the major themes that Barcelona-born artist based in Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, explores in his installations, sculptures, and augmented reality creations. Focused on the Amazon rainforest habitat, his work incorporates the idea that as a human species, we share a balance with the animal world, incorporating the paradigm of Amerindian perspectivism. This exhibition hosted by MACBA marks his first retrospective exhibition in Spain.

  Photography for artists The collection by illustrator Josep Lluís Pellicer Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona

  The illustrator Josep Lluís Pellicer used photography for inspiration and also to copy from. This exhibition in the Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona (Photographic Archive of Barcelona) brings together almost 200 photographs by different artists from among the thousand that are part of the collection, and allows us to exemplify the motives that awakened the art of Josep Lluís Pellicer as an illustrator.

  Samabajau sea nomads Museu Marítim

  The Sama-bajau ethnic group lives in the Sulu Sea, between the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, and is the only human community that lives totally adapted to the sea. The Museu Marítim de Barcelona is dedicating an exhibition to this tribe based on two complete Sam-bajau boats, made in the 19th century and brought to Barcelona in 1899, where we can enter their marine universe and learn more about this ethnic group that only sets foot on land to trade, build boats or bury their dead.
