    The Barcelona Digital Arts Festival is celebrating its 13th edition, with a larger capacity thanks to its new location at the Fira de Barcelona [Barcelona Trade Fair]. Audio-visual shows, live bands, large-format art installations, 360º projections, digital art gallery and DJ sessions will take place over two days. This year, the musical programme includes Kim Gordon, along with performances by other artists such as Snow Strippers, Oneohtrix Point, Lorenzo Senni, Craig Richards and many more.

    Verdi's Requiem L'Auditori

    All the emotions, feelings and intensity that classical music can awaken are experienced with this masterpiece by Giuseppe Verdi. Composed in 1873 in memory of his friend and compatriot, the famous novelist Alessandro Manzoni, the Requiem was sung for the first time in the church of San Carlo in Milan in 1874. Its success was immediate and enormous, being performed at La Scala and throughout Europe. The Requiem is an exercise full of force and vigor, requiring a large orchestra, four soloists, and a large choir. The Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (OBC) and Orfeó Català, under the baton of Ludovic Morlot, put their talent at the service of this great piece at Barcelona's L'Auditori.

    Clàssica a la platja

    The three big auditoriums in Barcelona (L'Auditori, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Gran Teatre del Liceu) are organising another summer of Clàssica a la platja (Classical on the beach), with two concerts on Sant Sebastià beach in Barcelona. This initiative is open to all in Barcelona and aims to bring symphonic music to everyone in a fun, family-friendly, festive and joyful way. The concerts are part of Barcelona Obertura and will be performed by the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Barcelona and National Symphony Orchestra of Catalonia (OBC).

    In 2024, the Clàssica a la Platja, is part of the Cultural Regatta, the programme of activities that accompanies the celebration of the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup in Barcelona.
