Tchaikovsky's ThirdMusic

L'Auditori has organised a concert in memory of the composer and conductor Joan Lamote de Grignon, to mark the 75th anniversary of his death. For this special performance, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Salvador Brotons, will play Te Deum for solo baritone, mixed choir and orchestra by Brotons himself and the Poema Romàntic by Joan Lamote de Grignon. Both pieces will be performed by the Barcelona baritone Carles Daza. The concert will close with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 3, a work influenced by Schumann's Rhenish, a composer greatly admired by Pyotr Ilch Tchaikovsky.
